Whisky the Calf

URGENT
!!!

Goal: $600

We were called about a highland heifer calf in critical condition that urgently needed life-saving support on May 4th.

We have been rehabbing this baby- who we have named, Whisky, and could use some support in covering the costs of her medical supplies and maintenance supplies.

We have given her IV support and medications, and bought materials like bottles, electrolytes, and milk replacers. Medications and support she has had/ is having- consist of; dextrolyte, excede, LA200, penicillin, heparin, banamine, dexamethasone, etc. Along with supplies like needles, syringes, bell catheter, etc.

All together these supplies amass over $200. And outside of that; for getting Whisky a plasma transfusion for her failure of passive transfer- the starting cost would be $400. We need funds to be able to get her this infusion.

If we surpass the goal- any other funds made in her name will continue to go to her direct support and care! Thank You~

(As of 5/26 we have $330/600)

Tiny's Medical Bill

URGENT
!!!

Total: $15,000

Tiny was our first mammoth donkey ambassador at Beast of Burden REC. Tiny was also the face of the nonprofit, and the reason behind our dedication and love for these fantastic beasts. Tiny had a HUGE amount of health issues, and despite our best efforts and the incredible work that Littleton Equine Medical Center (LEMC) provided- we lost her during a surgery while trying to save her life.

Losing Tiny has left a huge hole in our hearts, and a huge bill that we still have payments for. If you would like to honor Tiny's memory and help us finish paying her bill, we will make sure to honor her by helping more animals like her when we have the resources to do so. Thank You~

(as of 3/10/26 have $5,000 left)

Hay Delivery

Total: $3,000/Month

Hay is the foundation of care for the beasts at Beast of Burden REC. Not just hay- but QUALITY, TESTED and SAFE Hay!

From Timothy, brome, orchard, and alfalfa, our animals get the feed that is best suited to their physical needs.

Along with making sure our beasts have quality nutrition- we also allow them to have 24/7 access to their feed in order to give them a forage access that is natural to their evolutionary needs. This promotes better health through more natural digestion, along with mental stimulation by keeping to their instinctual drives. Thank You~
