In Memory of beloved Beast of Burden Ambassadors

Tiny

Tiny was our most beloved mammoth donkey that was the inspiration behind starting Beast of Burden Recovery and Education Center.
Tiny was the sweetest and most lovable creature and we miss her every day.
Tiny was a fantastic riding donkey and shining example of what these animals are capable of when given the opportunity to shine.
Unfortunately however, Tiny was a medical anomaly and despite intensive care and even trying a second time with abdominal surgery- she succumbed to her disabilities.
Tiny still leaves a legacy behind and was instrumental to donkey advocacy EVERYWHERE.

Dot

Dot was our first mule surrender in Beast of Burden Recovery and Education Center. Dot was an old boy but the most tolerant, gentle, and hilarious guy around!
Dot would safely tote people around and make everyone laugh daily with his bold personality and un-swayable opinions!
Dot battled chronic abscesses in his feet due to systemic issues- including IBD and cancer. After Dot was spoiled with all his favorite things while he was comfortable and happy, when he told us it was time we honored his wishes. Dot taught us so much about mules and because of what we learnt from his hospice care, we have been able to help more mules (and donkeys!) like him!
