The Basics
At Beast of Burden Recovery and Education Center- we do all our own training ONSIGHT.

Each equine learns at least some basic fundamentals to get along safely in life. Starting from the ground- each equine will become;

Halter Broke
-
Broke to Lead
-
Complete our Ground Work Basics
-
Pick up all 4 Feet
-
Be able to have contact all-over
-
(including ears, mouth, etc)​

Load in a Trailer​
Giving Them a Job
We also take a lot of time with professional help (mentors, veterinarians, farriers, etc) to assess the overall physical abilities each equine has. ​
This assessment helps us figure out what kind of "job" will be best suited for each equine due to factors like; soundness, health, comfort.
We do believe giving an equine a "job," doesn't only help them in their life in the human world- it also makes them much more compliant with medical attention and gives them mental stimulus and purpose. In some cases, having a job for an equine is even therapeutic TO the equine and can assist in their rehabbing.
